As the 4th in a series of articles explaining the basics of logistics in Vietnam, we would like to explain about customs clearance for transactions of selling goods from EPE company to EPE company.

Note      The jurisdictional customs may be the same for both the consignee and the shipper.

As for declaration to the customs of the shipper and the consignee can be handled by multiple customs brokers.

The transportation itself is a domestic movement via truck, but customs clearance procedures are required.

In this case, both the shipper and the receiver are EPE companies, so no customs duty will be paid. The procedures for customs clearance at the shipper (bonded exports) and customs clearance at the consignee (bonded imports) are required at the respective EPE customs offices, and the handling may differ depending on the company’s status.
