As the 3rd in a series of articles explaining the basics of logistics in Vietnam, we would like to explain about customs clearance for transactions of selling goods from EPE company to NON EPE company.

When EPE company sells goods to NON EPE company, same procedures are required as when goods are imported from oversea. Also, customs duties must be paid at the time of shipment (export) from EPE company.

Note      In some cases, customs of shipper and consignee are  same.

As for declaration to the customs of the shipper and the consignee, even if there is more than one customs broker.

In addition, there are cases in which the sale into the country; materials purchased for production may not be approved smoothly. That’s why prior consultation with the customs is recommended.
